Arthur Silber, the post-Objectivist who publishes the inestimable Once Upon a Time blog, is in dire (or direr) financial straits because of a recent hospitalization. It's a portmanteau word: Blog + Beg = Bleg.
Oooh, makes sense. I thought it was a typo.
