Mutualist Blog: Free Market Anti-Capitalism
To dissolve, submerge, and cause to disappear the political or governmental system in the economic system by reducing, simplifying, decentralizing and suppressing, one after another, all the wheels of this great machine, which is called the Government or the State. --Proudhon, General Idea of the Revolution

Over at Mutualist.Org, in your devastating critique of Neoconservatism, you attribute "Jeffersonian traditionalist conservatism" to yourself, even now that you're a mutualist. I am of the same persuasion, (although my traditionalist conservatism is anti-hierarchical and synthesized with a kind of bioregionalism and cultural communitarianism) but I've just been wondering how reconcilable traditionalist conservatism is with mutualism, being so apologetic for hierarchy.
It's been a long time since I wrote that. I'm pretty far from being a conservative of any kind.
Well there still does seem to be a kind of localist, decentralist kind of theme running throughout your work. Certainly mutualism and classical anarchism's kind of yearning for a decentralized federation of free cities and rural communes can certainly be juxtaposed with liberalism's propping up of the industrialized west.
