Mutualist Blog: Free Market Anti-Capitalism

To dissolve, submerge, and cause to disappear the political or governmental system in the economic system by reducing, simplifying, decentralizing and suppressing, one after another, all the wheels of this great machine, which is called the Government or the State. --Proudhon, General Idea of the Revolution

Tandy: Voluntary Socialism

Roderick Long is in the process of scanning in an online text of Francis Dashwood Tandy's Voluntary Socialism: A Sketch (1896). It's a little less than half complete. I look forward to seeing the chapters on mutual banking and other economic arrangements--especially any discussion of their practical effect.

Francis Dashwood Tandy? The longer I live, the more Robert Anton Wilson in jokes I get. I live in the UK and I remember coming into Evanston on a Greyhound bus and seeing a US pedestrian crossing sign for the first time and getting that joke.
